What is Film Studies

Film Studies is an academic study of various critical, historical, and conceptual approaches to films. This field of study is more concerned with studying the cultural, narrative, economic, creative, and political segments of movies than with evolving filmmaking techniques or skills. Film Studies helps to know about scholarly concepts that help an individual to analyze what they view on screen with regard to editing techniques, camera movements, and traditions in screen acting.
