About the University of Naples Parthenope

The University of Naples Parthenope was originally established in 1919 to research and study economic issues and other factors affected by oceans and seas. The university began with just two faculties-Faculty of Economics and the Faculty of Nautical Science. 

Later, in 1999, the existing faculties were reorganized to create three new faculties focusing on other fields- the Faculty of Law, the Faculty of Engineering, and the Faculty of Sports Sciences. Currently, the university has approximately 16,000 students enrolled in the university's various programs. 

Most courses at the institution are taught in Italian, with a few exceptions, which are taught in both Italian and English or just English.
