What is Occupational Safety

Go back

Occupational safety refers to the measures taken in the workplace so that all the workers, including the environment and products, do not face risks during their working time. It is concerned with protecting workers from harm in different industries and at their places of work. This includes putting in place safety guidelines, carrying out a risk assessment, offering relevant training, and enforcing safety laws. It works on making a safe and healthy working place where the levels of accidents are minimized, and employees’ welfare is maintained. Productivity, employee welfare, and legal compliance are reasons occupational safety is very important in the workplace.
