Sports Clubs
There are more than fifty sports clubs and around ninety societies, including academic organizations and various sports clubs. Bangor University FC (football) and Rowing Club of Bangor University are two notable sports clubs.
Societies
There are 100 or so societies for students that bring together people who share similar interests. Course-related societies, a society that promotes cultures and countries, and student societies with niche interests such as theatre, music, movies, and photography are examples of these. Membership in the societies are entirely free.
Newspaper for Students
The university’s student publication ‘Y Seren’ is an English language publication. It covers significant student events like an annual sports competition, and so on. The paper is released monthly and includes an archive of every issue on its website. The building of Pontio Arts houses the newspaper’s offices.
Student Radio
Bangor University has Storm FM which is the only valid radio station run by students. It is one of the student-run radio stations out of the three that has a valid FM license, which allows it to broadcast to a narrow region of Bangor. Storm FM debuted in 2009.
Student Council
The council holds monthly meetings for their forum throughout the year to exchange ideas, debate, discuss, and work on initiatives to enhance the student’s experiences with the officers.

Undeb Bangor manages the group of course representative’s scheme. There are a total of 300-course representatives spread all over 14 academic institutions.
