Flinders University is dedicated to making a difference through creative research, expertise in teaching and learning, and a remarkable schooling environment. The university is both globally-minded and locally involved. Flinders University was established in 1966 and is a public research university with its headquarters in Adelaide, South Australia. It has 11 sites throughout South Australia and the Northern Territory. Biomedical and clinical sciences, culture, policy, society, health and human behaviour, molecular science and technology, defence, engineering, water, and the environment are among the research specialities of Flinders University. Its contributions to research are significant and expanding, with 90% of them being considered world-class or above by Excellence in Research for Australia (ERA). For almost 26,000 students, both undergraduate and graduate courses are offered both on-campus and online at Flinders' six colleges. Owing to its academic performance over the years the University ranks #426 in Best Global Universities according to US NEWS and #425 world ranking according to QS Top Universities 2023.
