The University of Nottingham, situated in Nottingham, England, is a public research university. It was established in 1881 as University College Nottingham, and in 1948 it received a royal charter. The Russell Group alliance, which emphasizes research, includes the University of Nottingham.

Undergraduate, postgraduate taught, and postgraduate research degree programs are available through the University of Nottingham. More than 200 different study topics are covered by its undergraduate programs, while more than 300 different study areas are covered by its graduate programs. The University of Nottingham's most well-known academic specialties are Business & Economics, Clinical & Health, and Arts & Humanities. 

There are eight campuses in total for the University of Nottingham, including campuses in Malaysia and China. The University Park site is the school's primary site in the United Kingdom. The university also maintains a number of other campuses, including the King's Meadow Campus, the Sutton Bonington Campus, and the Jubilee Campus. In addition, it has a medical school, Royal Derby Hospital, and Nottingham City Hospital.
