Wolfville, Nova Scotia, is home to Acadia University, a public institution that was established in 1838. The goal of the university is to develop critical thinkers, lifelong learners, involved citizens, and responsible global leaders by offering an individualized, demanding liberal arts education.

Despite being a very small university, the faculty of arts, the faculty of professional studies, the faculty of pure and applied science, and the faculty of religion provide more than 200-degree combinations to students. Numerous significant neo-classical structures, including Carnegie Hall and Seminary House, may be found on campus. There are twelve residence halls for students on campus, varying in style from historic to high-rise. Some of the popular courses taught at this university include Philosophy, English, Canadian Studies, Music, Theatre-Performance and Theatre-Production.

In addition, the university has the most conference and national titles of any university in Atlantic Canada, along with a robust varsity athletics department. Situated in the idyllic college town of Wolfville, with views of the Annapolis Valley and the Bay of Fundy, Acadia University is within an hour's drive from Halifax, Nova Scotia, and its international airport.
