Washington State University is the oldest flagship campus in Pullman, Washington. It is a land-grant public research university. WSU is one of the oldest land-grant institutions in the American West, having been founded in 1890. It is the second largest university in Washington State, behind the University of Washington, with 24,278 undergraduate students and 28,581 overall enrollment.

Numerous graduate, professional, and undergraduate programs are available at Washington State University. Economics, health sciences, engineering, computer science, and social sciences are a few of the well-liked degrees. There are 78 master's degree programs, 65 doctoral programs, and 3 professional programs among the postgraduate degrees. Numerous fields are covered in graduate programs, including architecture, computer science, business administration, and civil engineering.

There are 27 residential halls and apartments available for single students and families on the Washington State University campus. The campuses are spread over five distinct locations: Pullman, Tri-Cities, Vancouver, Everett, and the Health Sciences Campus in Spokane. Pullman is home to the university's main campus. There are three different types of residence halls: Hillside, Northside, and Southside halls.
