Our curriculum is designed to provide you with an understanding of principles and theories that guide human behavior and organizational practices. Courses in the fields of organization theory, human relationships, administrative communication and related behavioral areas provide you with a solid knowledge base that is enhanced by hands-on experiences. As a Washburn Marketing student, you will learn to analyze the ways business firms and other types of organizations plan, organize, administer and control their resources to achieve marketing goals. Among the objectives of this program: conduct and present a comprehensive consumer behavior audit, analyze a company's existing product and determine its positioning in the marketplace; prepare and defend a marketing plan and a marketing research plan; understand the stages of the sales process; and demonstrate an understanding of the global marketplace and design marketing strategies that are appropriate for various cultures and countries.

This national, standardized exam is given to more than 550 U.S. business schools and reflects the high quality of our program. But that's just the beginning! Whether you’re certain you want to be a digital evidence specialist or cyber security analyst or you know you love computers and want to consider all options the bachelor of arts in computer information science with a concentration in digital forensics is for you. This degree will prepare you for a variety of roles in a rapidly changing and growing field. At Washburn, you’ll work with faculty whose industry experience and teaching style will enable you to identify and solve challenges in real-time. And Washburn’s partnership with the Kansas Bureau of Investigations Forensic Science Center means you’ll understand the big picture of an investigations team, and the crucial part computer science plays in solving today’s crimes.

A Bachelor of Arts in Computer Information Science with a concentration in digital forensics can be completed in 4 years. You'll also have the opportunity to apply for an internship with the KBI or do a research project with a faculty member.

The Actuarial Science specialization at Washburn is the only one in Kansas recognized by the Society of Actuaries for its rigorous preparation of students.

Our program also provides research experiences and internship opportunities that will set you apart from your peers at larger schools.

Chemistry majors work with faculty mentors on at least one semester of original research. You’ll be prepared for your next step – graduate or professional school – because you’ll gain valuable experience and skills as a laboratory scientist, researcher, and scientific communicator. Grant funding opportunities mean you’ll also gain vital experience in the grant funding process. You’ll be paired with a faculty mentor to work on biochemistry research as early as your sophomore year.
