One USP, Ranking, History 

The major USP of Vincennes University is that it is the first and the only college in the US, established by an individual who would later become the president of the country. The ninth president of the United States, William Henry Harrison founded VU. The university is ranked #58-76 out of 86 Regional Colleges Midwest. It was founded in 1801, as Jefferson Academy. 

Accreditation, Number of Students and Faculties. 

HLC (The Higher Learning Commission) has accredited Vincennes University, and the accreditation is maintained with HLC through the Standard Pathway Process. Some of the other specialized accreditation of the university include Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing, Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs, Federal Aviation Administration, Indiana State Board of Nursing, National Association of Schools of Arts and Design, National Automotive Technicians Education Foundation, National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education, Commission of Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education, Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Educational Programs, Commission on Accreditation for Health Informatics and Information Management Education and so on. The university has a total undergraduate enrollment of 16, 389, with a student faculty ratio of 22:1.

The university has four campuses, with the main campus in Vincennes. It is also the residential campus of the university, and located along the banks of Wabash River. With a rural setting, the university has a campus size of 160 acres. Some of the facilities provided to the students of VU include student activities such as organizations and clubs, dining and meal facilities, residential and housing facilities, student services and resources such as bookstore, counseling center, parking, shake library, labs and tutoring, the writing center and so on.   • The applicants need to take the SAT test with an average score of 480 in Math, and 480 in English Reading and Writing, or they need an average ACT score of 18 in Reading, 19 in Math and 18 in English.
