Under USM's four year program, students will earn an applied mathematics degree from Saint Mary and then may transfer to any engineering program to complete a degree in engineering. This allows students to transfer into a wide variety of engineering programs such as chemical, biomedical, environmental, and others. Plus, when studying at Saint Mary, you’ll have four years to explore your interests in USM’s athletic and fine arts programs.

In the Saint Mary biology program, our small class sizes and faculty-led labs give you hands-on experience, allowing you to dig into the life sciences. As a human biology major at the University of Saint Mary, you’re focusing your career goals on becoming a Doctor of Chiropractic Medicine (D.C.).

The USM human biology degree offers a unique path to achieving your dream—thanks to a strategic partnership with Cleveland University-Kansas City (CU-KC).

• Freshman, sophomore, and junior year, you’ll study at USM—under the 3+4 plan.
• As a junior, you’ll apply to CU-KC.
• Upon acceptance to Cleveland, you’ll embark on a four-year course of study at CU-KC (at the conclusion of your junior year).
• You’ll be awarded your USM Bachelor of Science in Human Biology when you complete your first 31 credits at CU-KC.
• After four years at CU-KC, you’ll be awarded a Doctorate of Chiropractic Medicine

When you major in medical laboratory science at USM, you choose your path, with two choices:
 

Three years of course work followed by an internship

Or a traditional four-year program followed by an internship

The program prepares students for required academic internships with the School of Medical Laboratory Science at North Kansas City Hospital. The program is practical, also preparing students to ultimately pass national certifying examinations.

As a sport management major, you’ll not only learn about the psychological principles at work behind sports, but how sports fit into and influence our society. You’ll examine how the business sector and sports world interact, and how to make the most of these interactions. You’ll work in a collaborative classroom, with experienced faculty dedicated to your college and career success.

Fascinated by how laws are constructed, why they are broken, and how our society responds to crime? USM’s criminology program may be a perfect fit for you.

As an applied discipline, criminology is a unique combination of sociology, law, psychology, social work, and science that analyzes how laws are created, why laws are broken, and reactions of society to those who break the law.

Most criminal justice programs only study technical elements of crime and the criminal justice system. USM’s criminology program also examines the nature and function of crime, including society’s influence and response to behavior, blending:

Application to USM's Master of Science in Athletic Training program is managed through Athletic Training Application System (ATCAS). It is a competitive process, and submitting your application does not guarantee acceptance. The first-priority application deadline is April 1.

The program utilizes a rolling admission approach. Under rolling admission, you are invited to submit your application to ATCAS any time. The program will then review your application and notify you of the decision. 

As an art student at USM, you will explore your creative problem-solving ability through one-on-one instruction and mentoring from accomplished artists and faculty.

You can design the degree based on your interests, with three key concentration areas: Art Therapy, Graphic Design, and Studio Art.

You will also benefit from nationally renowned guest artist presentations and exhibits, USM’s 24-hour access to Xavier Studios (drawing/design, painting/printmaking studios, and a Mac computer lab) as well as access to the darkroom and ceramic studio.

As a senior, you'll have an opportunity to show your best work – regardless of your concentration – during your senior show, presented at the USM Student Art Exhibit.
