University of Iowa was founded in 1847, a publicly owned research university in Iowa. It is the oldest and second-largest university in the region. It is affiliated with the Universities Research Association, Big Ten Academic Alliance, and the Association of American Universities. The university has over 12 colleges under it that offer more than 200 courses in various streams. The University of Iowa beholds 31,317 students, including international students from 115 countries who come to study in the United States.
