The University of Indianapolis (UIndy), a private university formerly known as Indiana Central University, was established in 1902. It emphasizes a unique education policy entailing giving back to society. It is the only university in Indiana offering a neonatal nurse practitioner program and ranks at #239 among the National universities by the U.S. News and World Report 2022.While Higher Learning Commission is the accreditation authority for the institution, there are some other accreditation authorities for different courses, including - AOTA, ACNM, etc. Curently, about 6,000 students and more than 600 staff members are studying and working at the university. The student-faculty ratio is 13:1, displaying the small class size. The university is located in one of the largest cities in the Midwest in the US. The University of Indianapolis offers varied facilities on its 65 acres of campus. Beyond the academic realm, there are many activities that students can enjoy. These include sports, orientation, 70-plus clubs, fitness programs, etc. Besides this, internship opportunities and other recreation facilities are also available around the campus for the overall development of students.With an Acceptance Rate of 73%, as of fall 2020, the University of Indianapolis offers more than 100 undergraduate and above 40 graduate degrees along with five doctoral programs through 6 schools and three colleges in the following disciplines: Business, Nursing, Occupational and Physical Therapy, Engineering along with Arts and Sciences. Registered Nursing, Marketing Management, Psychology, Exercise Science, and many others are some of the famous majors at UIndy.With over 35000 alumni networks, UIndy’s notable alumni include Katie Stam, Miss America 2009, UIndy’s Bachelor’s degree holder; Brian Barnhart, the President and Director of the Indy car series; Ray Crowe, UIndy’s graduate and a former Basketball coach; Harold Achor, UIndy’s graduate and a former Judge at Indiana Supreme Court, William Raspberry, UIndy’s Bachelor’s degree holder, was a columnist recognized with various awards.Besides having internship opportunities around campus, the University of Indianapolis, USA, offers various jobs, internships, and learning opportunities through different centers established within the campus.
