The University of Hartford is a private, independent, non-sectarian institution in West Hartford, Connecticut. The university was founded in 1877 as the Hartford Art School and is today comprised of six schools and colleges: The College of Arts and Sciences, The Maurice Greenberg Center for Judaic Studies, The Barney School of Business, The Hartt School, The Hillyer College of Health Professions, and The University College.
