The main campus of the University of Central Florida, which spans 1,415 acres, is located close to one of the best research parks in the United States and about 13 miles east of downtown Orlando. In addition to this, Orlando and the surrounding areas are home to satellite campuses of the University of Central Florida. Some of these include the Rosen College of Hospitality Management, the UCF Downtown campus, and the Academic Health Sciences site in Lake Nona.

On Orlando's main campus, first-year undergraduate students are given preference when it comes to accommodations. All undergraduate and graduate students, however, are eligible to apply for accommodation at the Rosen College Apartments, NorthView, or living-learning communities.
