The marketing program at Thomas Jefferson University prepares students to become professionals with a broad understanding of business, communication, sales and research.

As a marketing student, you will benefit from dynamic, multidisciplinary training in multimedia communications and business. Computed Tomography (CT) technologists are highly skilled professionals that use x-ray technology to take cross-sectional images of the body. CT technologists operate the CT unit, evaluate patient's medical history, position patients for complete anatomy desired, establish appropriate parameters for quality and safety of patients, perform 3D post-processing images, and utilize informatics and related equipment.  In addition, they are responsible for dispensing oral contrast to patients, performing venipuncture, evaluating CT scans for quality and accuracy, assisting the radiologist with special procedures and providing the care for the psychological and physical needs of the patient. 

CT Technologists have direct contact with healthy patients, critically ill inpatients, and outpatients of all ages, assisting patients to and from the exam table, and positioning them correctly for the anatomy desired, as well as, working with computers that uses the latest technology.

Our Computed Tomography courses are available online and on-site for:

• Advanced placement students who have RT(R), RT(T), RT(N), CNMT or ARRT/NMTCB eligibility and 50 prerequisite credits
• Second year Dual-Concentration students who took radiography, radiation therapy or nuclear medicine in the first year
• Part-time Computed Tomography BS students who have RT(R), RT(T), RT(N), CNMT or ARRT/NMTCB eligibility and 50 prerequisite credits

The BSE in Mechanical Engineering program at Jefferson is accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of ABET. The program will prepare you with a breadth of engineering skills and knowledge while facilitating technical depth in vital mechanical engineering areas, including:

The Bachelor of Science in Construction Management program at Thomas Jefferson University is accredited by the Applied and Natural Science Accreditation Commission (ANSAC) of ABET.  ABET-ANSAC evaluates 4-year Construction Management programs to approve that “Graduates of Construction Management programs will have the knowledge, as well as the technical, administrative and communication skills, necessary to succeed in the construction industry.” The STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) program, BS in Construction Management emphasizes the importance of a rich and productive collaboration between construction, project management and design.

The industry-centered curriculum prepares students for leadership roles in this challenging, multi-faceted, competitive field to contribute to a project or firm immediately upon graduation. Our faculty of experts in the construction management profession bring invaluable real-world experience to the classroom, teaching technical skills with hands-on applications, decision-making techniques and the principles of environmental sustainability.

Jefferson offers exercise science education as a bachelor of science degree with options for accelerated tracks in our other professional programs (MSAT, DPT, OTD). The exercise science program is designed to provide the knowledge and skills necessary to be successful in a health or fitness career.

Exercise Science graduates work in a variety of settings that center around improving the health and wellbeing of individuals throughout the lifespan.  Common job placements include but are not limited to personal training, strength coach, corporate wellness, exercise physiologist, cardiac rehabilitation, clinical exercise specialist, human performance or sport scientist.  Graduates can also gain entry into graduate level programs which include but are not limited to biomechanics, physiology, exercise physiology, athletic training, physical therapy, occupational therapy, physicians assistant, or public health.  The demand for health and fitness professionals is expected to grow significantly faster than the average occupation over the next 10 years.

The Bachelor of Science in Textile Product Science (TPS) prepares students to work in a global industry that includes fiber-engineered products for medical, geotextiles, architecture, fiber-reinforces composites and traditional apparel and home-furnishing applications. TPS program is comprised of thirteen (13) core textile courses, which delineate all TPS majors. The true interdisciplinary nature of Textile Product Science is realized in the student’s ability to select advanced work in one of the five, 9-course specializations.

Another dimension of the program will be to educate and graduate fully integrated individuals who possess the technical and social competence and confidence to succeed in professional practice and advanced education, be lifelong learners and exercise responsible stewardship.

The Master of Science Program in Cell & Developmental Biology prepares its graduates for positions in research and development in academia, industry and government. Graduates may be employed as basic research scientists in academic institutions and industrial positions, or may go on to further study in PhD and professional doctoral programs.

This program consists of a core basic science curriculum in cell and developmental biology, supplemented with elective courses suited to individual career interests in the basic sciences or in management. Students in our program receive training in theoretical, experimental and practical aspects of normal cell development as well as abnormal aspects of these processes, which may cause birth defects or disease.
 

The program may be completed on a part-time or accelerated (coursework) schedule over a period of 1.5 to four years. Courses are offered late afternoon/early evening and meet once per week, allowing students the flexibility to work while taking classes or devote their full attention to their studies. Flexibility is the key.

The Master of Science degree in Construction Management (MSCM), a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) program, is designed to provide students with the knowledge and skills to plan and manage each phase of the construction process as applied to complex commercial, infrastructure and residential building projects. The mission of the program is to provide students with a broad practice–oriented understanding of construction technology, business, architecture, and engineering, with specific emphasis on the management of the construction process from project inception to close-out. Courses within the program are designed to prepare graduates to excel in leadership positions, with a focus on building quality projects, safely, on time, within budget, and to customer expectations.

Hands-on activities allow students to learn and excel in construction-related activities and software applications. Classes are offered in an on campus (day and evening), hybrid, and/or online version to allow students to have the flexibility of planning their schedules and continuing to work in their jobs. 

Thomas Jefferson University and The Center for Forensic Science Research and Education (CFSRE) have partnered together to offer a MS program in Forensic Biology, originating in 2018. This unique program is designed to position students for advancement and professional development focused specifically in the field of forensic biology.

This is a full-time, two-year program with courses taught at both the Jefferson Center City campus as well as at the CFSRE laboratory in Willow Grove, PA. Instead of spending the duration of the program in a classroom, Jefferson  students will be learning within an actual forensic laboratory and working alongside practicing scientists who serve as faculty and mentors. This teaching setting allows our students to engage first-hand in crime lab operation, offering an unparalleled educational experience.

Our specialized program will provide students with expertise in all areas of forensic biology, including:

Thomas Jefferson University and The Center for Forensic Science Research & Education (The Center) have collaborated to offer the MS program in Forensic Toxicology. This is a unique program designed to position students for advancement and professional development in the specific field of forensic toxicology.

This is a full-time, two year program with courses taught at both the  Jefferson - Center City campus and The Center's Willow Grove, PA location.

This partnership will provide our students with expertise in all areas of toxicology, including:

• Workplace drug testing
• Post mortem analysis
• Human performance toxicology
• Legal procedure and ethics
• Business & management coursework

The Program also gives students essential, hands-on training through the Center's internship program, provided at their state-of-the-art facility in Willow Grove, PA. This practicum immerses students in mock casework samples and provides them with experience in drug and toxin detection and extraction, quantification, instrumental analysis and data interpretation and report writing. The Program culminates in moot court experiences.

The Master of Science in Microbiology & Immunology Program offers choices for career specialization with flexible schedules, professional training for academic credit and academic preparation for national professional certification.

The broad-based curriculum includes a minimum of 40 credits. Course content includes:

Jefferson’s Law & Society program is so much more than just pre-law — our mission is to understand how society and institutions operate, and how they are controlled by law and other forces. To take on this task, the program employs an interdisciplinary approach exploring these issues through the lenses of pre-law, sociology, criminology, psychology, ethics, economics, culture, science, history, politics and political science.

We build critical thinking and communications skills while we effectively debate. We actively examine how legal systems impact social justice and human rights within both the American and international contexts. We examine and discover the reliable evidence while weeding through the false narratives and fake news.
