The Higher Learning Commission (HCL) accredits the University of Toledo. HCL is an institutional accrediting agency which has been recognised by the Department of Education of the US. There are several other accrediting organisations which approve the educational programs of the university or with which the university holds membership. Admission Eligibility Criteria
Freshman admission
- The student must secure a minimum ACT composite score of 15 or a total SAT score of 830-870 with at least 2.5 GPA
- Or, the student must minimum ACT composite score of 16 or a total SAT score of 880-910 with at least 2.0 GPA
- For test-optional admission, the student must secure a minimum GPA of 3.0.
Graduate admission
- The applicant must hold a bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited university or college.
- The student must achieve at least an undergraduate grade point average of 2.70 and some specific programs may require a higher GPA than the standard.
- Students with a lower GPA than 3.5 and international students are required to submit their GRE test scores.
- International students require a proof of English Language proficiency such as TOEFL, Duolingo or IELTS.
