Texas Christian University has been accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) to award baccalaureate, master's and doctoral degrees to its students. Acceptance Rate at Texas Christian University
The University can be considered moderately selective when it comes to taking admissions as its acceptance rate is only 48%. The University has no requirement for a minimum GPA or scores on tests like ACTS or SATs, but having good grades can definitely give you an edge. The University focuses on finding students who have potential and hold credentials in both academics and in circulars. The University is going test-optional from 2024. However, the students who were previously selected on the basis of tests have had average SAT scores lying between 1200 to 1380 and average ACT scores lying between 28 to 32.
Admission eligibility criteria
The admission eligibility criteria for the University are not very stringent. The University does not believe in deciding the potential of a student merely based on a few test scores and that is why they have decided to go test-optional from 2024. They will select a student based on their interactions with and their applications.

To take admission to TCU, a student shall have to apply through their portal, and submit their application along with the essay and their resume. The official high school transcript shall have to be sent to the University by the high school either through mail or by post. International students might have to take a test for their English proficiency.
