Susquehanna University, established in 1858 as the Missionary Institute of the Evangelical Lutheran Church, has been co-educational since 1872. Central Pennsylvania's Lutheran liberal arts university is called Susquehanna University presently. Susquehanna Female College, the university's previous sister institution, merged with the university in 1872. Since 1895, Susquehanna has gone by its current name as a private college. The 325-acre rural campus of Susquehanna University is home to the majority if not all of its students. Susquehanna is situated 50 milesnorth of Harrisburg, the state capital of Pennsylvania, on the same-named river in the thinly populated borough of Selingrove. The largest city in the state, Philadelphia, is 130 miles to the northeast. Accreditation,Number of Students and Faculties

The student body strength of the university is 2200+ along with 226 faculty members. The Middle States Commission on Higher Education has granted Susquehanna University its accreditation. In addition, Susquehanna University was ranked among the top colleges in Pennsylvania in the most recent Forbes College Ranking. The International Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business has also renewed the accreditation of the Sigmund Weis School of Business at Susquehanna University. AACSB accreditation is also granted to the university. Susquehanna is one of 10 private, undergraduate-only business schools with distinction and was initially recognized 28 years ago.

University Campus, Facilities, Labs and Courses

The school is situated on 325 picturesque acres in the quaint town of Selinsgrove, close to the banks of the lovely Susquehanna River. The responsibility for the upkeep of our structures and grounds falls to Susquehanna's Office of Facilities Management. On campus, there are 11 social fraternities and sororities. One of them could become your new home. Students can proudly display their group's letters as a member of the Greek community at Susquehanna. Each university fraternity and sorority have a unique history and set of customs. One of the best locations to live in Pennsylvania is Township, which is located in Dauphin County. Susquehanna Township offers people a dense suburban feel, and the majority of locals are house owners.

Susquehanna University Acceptance Rate

The Average acceptance rate of Susquehanna University is 88% according to the US NEWS survey. It is also seen that the majority of the candidates accepted, have an ACT score of 22 and 28 or SAT score between 1090 and 1270 and a similar score is expected from fresh applicants.
