The University had a total of 16,515 students enrolled in its various undergraduate programmes in the fall of 2021. It has over 200+ accredited courses available in majors and minors, including undergraduate, postgraduate, distance and diploma courses. The university is also participating in the Standard Pathway to get its accreditations reaffirmed. 

University Campus, Facilities, Labs and Courses

MSU Denver has a big campus of 127 acres that is infused with an urban learning environment. The university strongly believes in providing not just education but quality education to its learners; therefore, they aim to offer them the best of all facilities. It has various recreational centres available on its campus. To list a few, they have conference rooms, a racquetball court, a squash court, a gym, a dance studio, separate locker rooms for men and women, and a library. Apart from these, they also have various other facilities to encourage sports and fitness, a dedicated health centre to cater to any emergency needs and career service facilities to provide proper guidance to help its students plan out their future after they have attained the degree. Furthermore, they have a centre for visual arts, which is an off-campus art gallery and over 120 student clubs and organizations to help them get closer to their passion.

The University offers over 200+ courses across different streams, including Accounting and Commerce, Engineering, Humanities and Social Sciences, and Teaching and Education. Over the past four years, the University had an acceptance rate of around 70% for its Advanced Standing Programme and 75% of the average acceptance rate for its regular program applicants. 

The University had an acceptance rate of 83.3% in general for the year 2020. 

Admission Eligibility Criteria

The University mainly takes admission in two parts for students who are applying to college for the first time. It is basically divided between students who are either 19 years of age or younger and students who are 20 years of age or older.  Those 19 or below they will get guaranteed admission if their cumulative high school diploma is a 2.0 GPA or higher.  If the applying student has a GPA below 2.0, they will have to provide additional documents that include an unofficial transcript, a personal statement which is mandatory, and a LOR, which is optional. They also look at multiple different factors such as Academic record, high school grades, GPA, classes taken etc. SAT and ACTs, however, are not necessary for admission. On the other hand, students who are 20 years of age or above, they will have to have a high school diploma or a qualifying GED score of 145 or above on all four sections. SATs and ACTs are not necessary for taking admissions for students of this category either. The students can apply through the roadrunner programme, which is specifically for taking admissions at MSU and also through the Common App, through which the students can apply to multiple colleges at the same time.

Documents, Test and Average Score Required

If a student is starting out with the applications and has attained a GDP of 2.0 or above and is either 19 or below, they can directly go for the next step after application once they receive their confirmation. Whereas students placed under secondary review shall have to submit the aforementioned documents before their application is reviewed and approved. Once a student’s application is approved, they will have to set up a student id and set up their official and final transcript. And once they complete the rest of the steps required for admission, they will have to submit their immunization records and pay a mandatory fee for health insurance as well. They might have to take some tests depending on the courses they are taking. SATs and ACTs, however, are not necessary.
