Formerly it was known as Indiana State Normal School, Indiana State Teachers College and Indiana State College. Indiana State University has been accredited by the Higher Learning Commission since 1915. In addition to institutional accreditation donated by HLC, many of this university's educational programs are accredited by specialised agencies such as professional associations and discipline-based organisations. All educator licensure programs and related school programs are accredited by the Indiana department of education and CAEP. The College of Arts and Sciences is accredited by NASAD, ACGC, NACM and APA. Scott College of Business is accredited by AACSB. ACREP, CAPE, CANALHA and APA  are all among the accreditation agencies. Indiana State University campus setting is a city with a campus size of 435 acres. The campus of this university is located in Terre Haute, Indiana State.
