Columbus State University, also known as Columbus collegeis a junior college situated in Columbus, Georgia. It was established in 1958 by the board of regents. In the first year, almost three hundred students joined the course. Initially, the college had fifteen staff members when it was set up around 64 years ago.

From 1988 to 2008, Frank Brown was the president of Columbus State University. In August 2008, he resigned, and Tim Mescon became the president, and in 2015 Chris Markwood became the president, and he is the current president of Columbus State University.

Columbus State University's 132-acre main campus is situated in suburban and downtown Columbus, Georgia. The academy operates the Coca-Cola space science center, which hosts a public program. Besides, the institution also has many types of fun athletics, for both male and female students. Some of the primary games include softball, soccer, basketball, tennis, golf, baseball, football, etc. 

Further, in 2008, the club sports formed at the University represented Columbus State University in inter-collegiate competitions.
