Christian Brothers University Ranking 2024

Located in Memphis, Tennessee, Christian Brothers University is a private Roman Catholic university. The Catholic teaching organization De La Salle Christian Brothers founded it in 1871. Four miles east of Downtown on a 75-acre campus surrounded by woods, Christian Brothers University is situated in the center of Midtown, Memphis. It lies directly across from the Cooper-Young Neighborhood and across from the Memphis Fairgrounds, the site of the Simmons Bank Liberty Stadium.

CBU is a Gulf South Conference team that competes in NCAA Division II. The baseball, basketball, golf, cross-country, and soccer teams are Buccaneer teams. The Lady Buccaneer teams play softball, volleyball, cross country, golf, soccer, and basketball. A number of sporting events have been won by the Lady Buccaneers and Buccaneers, including the 2008 GSC men's basketball championship and the 2002 Division II women's soccer championship. Under coach Clint Browne, the men's soccer team won back-to-back conference crowns in 2011 and 2012, which qualified them for the NCAA Tournament in 2011.
