The Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE) accredits Bowie State University. The Baltimore Association for Moral and Educational Improvement was established in the year 1864. However, in the year 1963, this institution got the identity of Bowie State College after establishing a Liberal arts program. In the year 1988, Bowie State College became Bowie State University under the direction of James Lyons who was then the president of the University. This is an institutional accrediting agency that is recognized by the U.S Secretary of Education and the Council for Higher Education Accreditation. As of fall 2021, this university has seen an undergraduate enrollment of 5381 students. The faculty of this university is just excellent. Admission Eligibility Criteria
The main requirements for getting admission to this university include having a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution along with a grade point of 3.0 on average after the student has completed the nine graduate credit hours. However, if an applicant has gained professional experience but does not have the required GPA score, then the applicant will need to appeal to the HRD Graduate Committee for his or her enrollment. In the case of doctoral programs, the student needs to have an overall GPA of three or four in previous graduate studies or undergraduate. Moreover, the student needs to have a background in data structures, computer organization, design, and analysis of algorithms or discrete structures.
Documents, Test and Average Score Required
The first item for documentation requires filling out an online application. At the time of submitting the online application, the student will have to submit official high school transcripts that have to be forwarded directly from the high school to the office of admissions. Other than this, the student will also need to submit official test scores from the American College Testing Program (ACT) or Scholastic Assessment Test (SAT) which also has to be sent to the Office of Admissions.
