Bachelor of Science Degree (B.S.) Justice Studies - Criminal Justice with a Concentration in Investigations and Security at Berkeley College

The Social Justice and Education MA will help students to identify, examine and understand key sociological and philosophical perspectives on social justice and education, including issues of 'race', class, gender and sexuality. Participants will explore the personal and political dimensions of social justice concerns and develop their professional, practical and research skills in this area.

This is a specialised and unique programme with a 12-month placement in Westminster where you'll work for a Member of Parliament or a peer, giving you in-depth exposure to British parliamentary procedures and behaviours.

As a hands-on law degree offering you an in-depth understanding of law and the political system, you'll learn to think like a lawyer, and apply your knowledge of legal and political science to social problems and challenges.

Criminologists investigate the causes, consequences and reactions to crime – and this course gives you experience of designing, analysing and evaluating criminal justice and crime control strategies.

With an interesting and varied curriculum, this programme has a very strong emphasis on applied knowledge and job market skills. This course is intended to create sophisticated criminological practitioners, able to navigate the realities of criminal justice and crime control, with superior experience, skills and knowledge of how to think, act and reflect criminologically.
