Overview

The liberal arts curriculum of Anna Maria College is combined with practical career training. The College provides both on-campus and online undergraduate majors in addition to numerous graduate and credential programmes. The college offers a special study-abroad programme and an honours program. Anna Maria is a part of a consortium of colleges in the Worcester area that enables free cross-registration at other member institutions. The New England Association of Schools and Colleges granted accreditation four years later. Graduate degree programmes were introduced at Anna Maria College a year after it became coeducational in 1973. The Sisters of Saint Anne ceased operating the school on April 3, 1980, and a Board of Trustees was established. The 75th anniversary of Anna Maria College will be celebrated in 2021, the institution proudly declares. The year will showcase the campus's development and historical significance while honouring alumni's service and contributions. On April 23, 1946, the Sisters of St. Anne founded Anna Maria College in Marlborough because they believed that increased access to higher education would encourage greater economic opportunity and civic engagement. The College moved to Paxton in 1951 thanks to Anna Maria's success, and in 1974 it switched to being co-ed. ...Read more

University Campus, Facilities, Labs and Courses

Despite the fact that nothing quite matches the feeling of visiting a campus, our new Virtual Campus Tour will help you identify a university that provides the best of both worlds. Specifically, a college where students can combine a safe, small-college setting in Central Massachusetts with easy access to big city living by being only 15 minutes from Worcester, New England's second-largest metropolis and home to over 36,000 undergraduate and graduate students.

The 190 acres of buildings and grounds at Anna Maria College are maintained, renovated, built upon, and planned by the department of facilities and engineering. Making the Anna Maria campus a secure, friendly, and attractive place to learn and visit is the department's goal.
