The Goldsmiths, University of London is a public institution at New Cross in southeast London, UK. It ranks 511-520 (2023) and 401-500 (2022) in the QS and THE world university rankings, respectively. The Counter Hill Academy started in 1792 and was purchased by the Royal Naval School in 1843. The institution goes back by 200 years.The beginning of the 1990s saw it becoming a higher education institution, receiving the Royal Charter from Her Majesty the Queen.The University has its campus at New Cross in South East London. A constituent research university of the University of London in England is Goldsmiths, University of London, also known as Goldsmiths' College. The Worshipful Company of Goldsmiths created it in New Cross, London, as The Goldsmiths' Technical and Recreational Institute in 1891.  About Campus and Accommodation

Ten minutes from London Bridge, the university campus is located in New Cross, England, on a picturesque single-site campus. A 250-seat lecture hall, along with seminar and teaching spaces, can be found in the Professor Stuart Hall Building at Goldsmiths. The campus' amenities include a bank (a Santander branch), a movie theater, tennis and netball courts, a sizable football field, music and arts and design facilities, IT services, and media and theater facilities.

The university will have a little over 1,400 rooms in their residence halls for 2023–2024, which are spread all around London and close to campus.
