Admission Requirements

The requirements for Wilfrid Laurier University admissions include the following:

Available Scholarships at Wilfrid Laurier University

Here are the available scholarships: 

1. Entrance Scholarships

This is applicable to those attending postsecondary classes for the very first time, beginning the degree with less than 4.0 university credits, previously attempted or less than a year’s full-time college education, etc. They are based on the admission average. The scholarship values range between $1,000 (from 80-84.9%) to $4,000 (from 95-100%). 

2. President’s Gold Scholarship

If the average is 95% or more, then the President’s Gold Scholarship will be granted, with a value of $4,000 for the first year. If the eligibility requirements are maintained, then another $4,000 is sanctioned for four years. The scholarship renews automatically for those getting annual GPAs of 10.5 or more. 

3. Laurier Scholars Awards

The awards are given to academically brilliant or meritorious students and are worth up to $40,000 for four years. 

4. In-Course Scholarships

These are considered based on the Laurier GPA and are valued between $500-1,500 per year. They start with a GPA of 10 and more. 

About Placements

There are a plethora of career services including co-op programs, volunteering, part-time employment, internships and also full-time employment options. There is of course the Experiential Learning and Career Development program which helps in building organisational profiles through collaborations with post-secondary practitioners and researchers while enabling access to the knowledge and skills of students at the university. 

Career Development Centre, Workplace Partnerships, Community Service-Learning and Co-Op are other options along with community engagement.
