Required Exams
There are numerous University of Regina requirements for admissions, including the following examinations:

1. IELTS Academic- Minimum 6.5-7.5 overall.

2. TOEFL iBT- Minimum 86 overall and 20-25 in each band.

3. CanTEST- Minimum score of 4.5-5.0.

4. CAEL- Minimum score of 70-80.

5. MELAB- Minimum score of 80-85.

6. Duolingo- Minimum score of 110-120

7. PTE- Minimum score of 59-68.

Duolingo scores were accepted as temporary considerations from 2020-21 onwards, so check carefully before applying.

Admission Requirements

Here are the requirements for University of Regina admissions at the UG level: 

1. Transcripts of high school. 

2. References. 

3. University or college transcripts. 

4. Statement of Intent. 

5. Portfolio Components. 

The same requirements have to be met for PG admissions with the addition of test scores wherever required, resumes, and other supplementary material if needed. Here are some other Master’s degree requirements: 

1. Graduation average of 70% at least in a four-year baccalaureate degree. 

2. Those with slightly lower average for four years may be accepted with their last two years’ performance being 75% or higher. 

3. Applicants should have a suitable academic or educational background for pursuing graduate academics in their selected field. 

Available scholarships at the University of Regina

1. Automatic Entrance Awards

Those applying for admissions may automatically be considered for such scholarships. 

2. Entrance Scholarships

$20,000 (INR 15 lakh) is given to students. There are a maximum of three awards for international students. 

3. UR Circle of Scholarships

A sum of $20,000 (INR 15 lakh) is sanctioned for this scholarship. This falls in the same category, i.e. a maximum of three awards for international students. 

4. University of Regina Entrance Scholarship

Average of 95% for early admission that merits $3,000 (INR 2.25 lakh) and $1,500 (INR 1.12 lakh) for average of 93-94.99%. The award is $1,000 (INR 75,000) for averages of 90-92.99%. 

5. University of Regina Out of Province Scholarship

Average of 85-94.99% with an award of $1,500 (INR 1.12 lakh). 

6. University of Regina International Scholarship

$3,000 (INR 2.25 lakh) for those with an admission average of 85%. 

The Faculty of Graduate Studies and Research has created an online system named GAPA (Graduate Awards Portal). This offers various scholarships like FGSR Funding, special awards, National scholarships, and more. 

About Placements

The University of Regina offers a unique program named co-operative education and internships. Students can keep earning while pursuing their courses. They can even earn up to $12,000 (INR 9 lakh) per semester. Graduate work placements are impressive, and those in MBA, master of engineering and applied science, science, and computer science are eligible for the same. Co-op students are required to maintain their PGPA (program-specific grade point average).
