Established in the year 1893, Montana State University is a government land-grant university offering undergraduate and graduate degrees in fields like arts, architecture, business, cultures, health, and humanities. This university is the biggest research university in the state of Montana and the biggest research and development entity of any state. Under the presidency of Geoffrey Gamble, the university implemented the Core 2.0 curriculum. The individual California State Colleges were brought together as a system by the Donahoe Higher Education Act of 1960. In 1972, the system became The California State University and Colleges and in 1982, the system became The California State University. Middle Tennessee State University offers over 300 academic programs for students worldwide. These courses span various fields like Aerospace, Aviation Management, Management and Leadership, Organizational Leadership, and Data Science. The university has an acceptance rate of 94.2%.
This institute has produced several notable alums in different fields. Some famous names include Amy Lee, singer, songwriter, pianist, co-founder of the renowned band Evanescence, and Sondra Locke, an American actress, singer, and director. The university has also produced academics like James M. Buchanan, an economist known for his work on public choice theory.
With an emphasis on civic and community engagement and civic learning, the institute has a Community and University Partnerships department. It facilitates partnerships at the local, national and international levels and promotes a model of mutually beneficial exchange of resources and knowledge. It also aims to form corporate partnerships to aid in developing specialized programs to help individuals gain relevant academic credentials.
