PTE Academic evaluates your overall command of the English language. It is a computer-based English language test, a first of its kind, and assesses applicants' English reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills.

PTE Exam Registration

There are no strict requirements for registering for the PTE test, but the candidate must be at least 18 years old. If they are not, they must show the parent's consent form to register. The PTE exam registration must be completed by creating an account on the PTE official website (pearsonpte.com) and enabling PTE login with that account. PTE exam testing has resumed in smaller batches in China, India, and Australia, so it is critical to register for your slots as soon as possible.

The registration fee is required for all the test takers of PTE Academic. Indian students taking the exam must pay PTE exam registration fees of INR 14,700. The fee is only applicable if you reserve your slot at least 14 days in advance.

How do I sign up for the PTE Exam?

After logging in to the PTE official website, the candidate must: 

1. Fill in the required information such as name, address, contact information, date of birth, and so on.

2. To book PTE, click 'Schedule this exam' and select the desired location.

3. From the list of PTE exam dates, the candidate must choose the one that best suits their needs.

4. By paying the PTE exam registration fees, the booking will be completed.

Documents required for PTE exam registration in India

All one needs is a passport to register for PTE. On the test day, applicants must carry their passports and admit cards to the testing center. 

The PTE scorecard is delivered within five working days from the test day.

Optional Fees: 

In addition to the standard PTE exam registration fees, additional charges may or may not apply. Rescheduling fees, late fees, and cancellation fees are examples of these.

Rescheduling fees: 

There will not be any charge or any additional fees if the request to reschedule your exam date is made at least 14 calendar days in advance. An additional 50% of the original test fee must be paid if the appointment is rescheduled between 7 and 14 days before the test. However, if the rescheduling request is made less than seven days before the test date, you will not be eligible for a refund.

Fees for late registration

Candidates can reserve their seats up to 48 hours in advance through PTE. If you select this option, an additional late booking fee will be charged with INR 695. 

Fees for Canceling 

If you wish to cancel your PTE Academic exam, you may cancel your appointment and receive a refund. You must submit a cancelation request through PTE's official website. The cancelation process must be initiated at least 14 days before your test date to be eligible for a complete refund on the PTE exam registration fees. If you cancel your appointment between 7-14 days of the exam window, you will be eligible for a 50% refund on your paid fee. However, you will not be eligible for any refund if the cancellation request is made less than seven days before the exam.

PTE Eligibility

There are no specific PTE eligibility requirements. Anyone who wishes to take the examination may do so. Just make sure that you have the documents required for PTE exam registration in India. The following points should be noted regarding PTE eligibility: 

Age limit: The candidate must be at least 16 years old. Candidates under 18 should have signed parental consent to take the test.

Educational qualifications: There are no educational qualification requirements. 

Number of Attempts: Candidates can take PTE any number of times. 

Nationality: Candidates from any country in the world are welcome to take the exam.
