The AIEED stands for All India Entrance Examination for Design. The ARCH College of Design & Business conducts the exam to select students for various UG/PG (undergraduate and postgraduate) degrees. The subjects include jewelry design, fashion design, interior design, product design, and graphic design.

Moreover, the exam assesses students' creativity, thinking abilities, and talents. AIEED aims to examine the applicant’s overall personality.

AIEED Exam 2024 Dates and Schedule

The AIEED entrance exam is an online exam you can take from anywhere in the world. Its different stages are designed to assess your creative abilities in-depth. You need to remember the exam dates and schedule to prepare strategically.

The AIEED exam 2024 will be held between 15 December and 25 December 2023. After students get selected, the main batch starts in May 2024.

Opt for virtual tours if you want to know more about the exam and the institute. The college conducts these to describe the course, life at the institute, and prospects. Also, you can book a one-on-one counseling session with the subject coordinator. This way, you learn more about the exam, important dates, and if AIEED is right for you.

Steps to Fill AIEED Exam Application Form

The application process has four different stages. First, fill out the request form, and the institute will reply. Next, fill out the AIEED application form by entering your details carefully. Use an active email address and mobile number for the process. Further, select your preferred date for the screening test.

The fee for the application form is INR 3,000, which you can pay using a debit or credit card. Online payments are also accepted.  Check your WhatsApp, messages, and email daily for exam updates, guidelines, course details, and a monthly newsletter.

After this, prepare your Portfolio of Abilities (PoA), describing your life story and career objectives. You must also prepare a Statement of Purpose (SOP) explaining why you're selecting design as your career choice. These will be required during your screening.

The institute will declare the test results after the first two screening stages. You’ll be able to select the design course as per the availability of seats.

Eligibility Criteria for AIEED Exam

Students who have passed or appeared for a 10+2 exam from a recognized board are eligible for undergraduate courses.

  • Students in class 10+1 are also eligible for the exam.
  • Qualifying students can receive direct admission to the next batch after passing the PoA and interaction stage.

To be eligible for the postgraduate courses, students need to be graduates in any subject or pursuing graduation.

AIEED Exam Admission Process

The AIEED admission has three stages, starting with the authorities asking you for the PoA and SOP. Then, the institute conducts a Psychological Endowments for Design (PED) to examine your empathy, appreciation of humor, focus, and perseverance.

CATA (comprehension, awareness, thinking, and articulation) is the next test in this stage. This assesses conceptual, visual, interpersonal, and verbal communication/comprehension skills.

The second stage involves interacting with the mentor, which analyses your personality. The authorities will ask you to introduce yourself and analyze your attitude about the world around you.

After successfully clearing all the stages, the institute will notify you about the results in the third stage. If you are selected, they will send a selection letter as confirmation.

Conclusion

Carefully prepare your SOP and PoA documents as they highlight your career goals. Also, keep other documents like educational certificates securely. Make a schedule to remember the essential dates so you don’t miss out.

Also, learn about the latest design trends and fundamentals to perform better during the screening. Make sure to be confident and honest about who you are!
