The MSc degree program is designed to give you extensive professional research training. You'll improve your professional writing and analytical skills as you create your thesis. You’ll engage with faculty-supervised research in one of the following areas:

• Cognition and Brain Sciences (e.g., embodied cognition, memory, visual perception)
• Social Psychology (e.g., interpersonal relationships, motivation, personality)
• Lifespan Health and Development (e.g., early development, aging, self-regulation)
• Individualized option (e.g., environmental psychology)

The Master of Physical Therapy educates reflective practitioners who are prepared to meet the challenges of client-centered, evidence-based physical therapy practice.

The Graduate Program in Rehabilitation Sciences (RHSC) is jointly run by the Department of Occupational Sciences and Occupational Therapy (OSOT) and the Department of Physical Therapy (PT). It is a program for advanced research study. It focuses on the discipline of Rehabilitation Sciences, the study of providing treatment and education to persons with temporary or permanent disability to return them to maximum function, well-being and personally-satisfying levels of independence.

It encompasses the three dimensions of the International Classification of Functioning, Disability and Health (body structure and function, activity and participation) and thus spans the individual, community and society. Our faculty have active research programs that cover this diverse spectrum.

In the Graduate Programs in Rehabilitation Sciences (RHSC), we strive to create outstanding learning and research experiences for occupational therapists, physical therapists and others with various health-related disciplines. Through these opportunities, in combination with the MSc thesis, graduates advance the science of rehabilitation which aims to promote physical, mental and social well-being among people of all levels of ability. Our collaborative initiatives result in a reciprocal transfer of new knowledge among academic, clinical, and community settings.

Study the processes that occur within all living organisms, including the regulation of functions at the sub-cellular, cellular, tissue, organ, and whole-organism levels, as well as their interactions and integration. Specific areas of study include endocrinology, neurophysiology, developmental biology, immunology, cell signaling, toxicology, and environmental physiology in a wide variety of organisms.

When you study Therapeutic Recreation, your passion for people shapes you into an agent for change. As a therapeutic recreation specialist, you assess individual leisure needs in order to design specialized programs for individuals with physical, social, intellectual, or emotional disabilities. You may work alongside a team of occupational and physical therapists and social workers to maintain or improve a client’s quality of life and enhance his or her independence.

This program, the only one of its kind in Canada, teaches students how to create the safest possible workplaces. You’ll help prevent injury and illness by anticipating, evaluating and controlling physical, biological and chemical hazards, and developing and implementing initiatives that improve health and safety in work environments across every sector. A paid co-op option, laboratory testing and analysis, workplace visits and an independent research project prepare you to achieve board certifications or professional designations and impact diverse workplaces.
