Credit Hours

Modules are Surrey’s term for courses or study units. Most modules are for 15 Surrey credits (7.5 ECTS) (equivalent to 3 USA credits). Exchange students are required to attend Surrey full-time. A full-time workload consists of 60 Surrey credits or 30 ECTS credits every semester or four courses. You can only take four modules at a time. In exceptional circumstances, a student may be required to study a distance learning module from their home institution. At the same time, at Surrey, the university will be limited to three Surrey modules.
