Credit System at University of Groningen

The grading system at the University of Groningen relies on a 10-point system metric. With 1 taking its place as the lowest and ten as the highest, the grading system sets the pass/fail line at 5.5. 

Speaking of the credit system, the university uses ECTS (European Credit Transfer System), where one credit represents 28 hours of study. 

The students need to obtain at least 60 ECTS credit points by the end of the year, meaning 30 by the end of each semester. Each course is generally worth around five credits.
