IELTS Cancellation fee

Cancellation can be done anytime before taking the test. However, for the refund policy, there is a specific rule and period. 

If you cancel your IELTS test up to five weeks before the test date, you will receive a refund minus an administration fee of 25% of the test fee. The cancellation charge is only the administration charge that is 25% of the total fee paid. To cancel your test date, please download and complete the Request for Refund or Test Date Transfer Form and send it via email. The test can be canceled by email, call, or in-person by visiting the test center where the registration has been done. 

If the cancellation is done within 3 days of the test or on the day of the examination, there will not be any refund. The test will automatically be canceled if the applicants are not present on the day of the examination. 

If a valid medical or health certificate that confirms health issues on the present day of the examination is provided, within five working days, only then applicants will get the refund of the entire fee after deducting 25% of the administration fee. For any medical reason, only original reports will be accepted. A cancellation refund usually takes up to 4 to 6 weeks and will be credited back to the bank account.

IELTS Rescheduling fee

Rescheduling the IELTS examination can happen anytime, as per exceptional cases or any unforeseen situation. Dates are booked for 3-4 months, and there can be an emergency or anything coming up at the last moment. IDP and British Council have a smooth IELTS rescheduling protocol, with some guidelines and prerequisites, if you need a refund. If you don’t wish for a refund, you can cancel or reschedule anytime you want. Applicants are automatically marked absent when they are not present on the examination day. 

For refund, rescheduling of the application should be done more than five weeks before the test date, you will receive a refund minus an administration charge. The rescheduling charge is only the administration charges that are deducted from the entire fee, and the rest will be refunded back to the account.

How to Register for the IELTS Examination?

IELTS registration can be done through phone, e-mail, or website. For the phone, you need to find the nearest test center contact number. Contact them, and provide them all the details as per the valid identity proof that you will use for the test. Over the phone, you need to finalize your test date, time slot and pay for the test through an online mode of payment.

How Can I Cancel My IELTS Registration?

To cancel your test date, please download and complete our Request for Refund or Test Date Transfer Form and send it via email to IELTS British Council or IDP. If you have done your registration through phone, you need to call them up and cancel the registration after stating the reason. If you have done your registration in person, you need to visit the registration center. There you will find the official in charge who would take care of the cancellation and refund if any.
