Established in the year 1994, Hof University of Applied Sciences is a public research-oriented university. In October 1994, the first courses, with around 90 students and 2 professors, started in the rooms of the University of Applied Sciences for Public Administration and Legal Affairs. It was started with the mission of delivering quality education in science and technology. Today, five faculties offer top-ranked courses and programs to international and domestic students.

Hof University of Applied Sciences Requirements for Examination

Students applying for the courses, need to clear the following tests with the required cut off: 

English Language Proficiency Test: 

Students applying for English language courses need to take the English language proficiency test as given below with the cut off: 

• TOEFL iBT: 90 points
• IELTS: 6.5 or higher

German Language Proficiency Test 

For programs taught in German students need to submit the German language proficiency test score and certificate

• TestDaf (3×4, 1×3) 
• DSH (Level 2).

Hof University of Applied Sciences Admissions Requirements

Hof University of Applied Sciences admissions requirements for domestic as well as international students applying for any course or program are different. It is important to fulfill the academic requirements and admission documents to successfully apply for the courses and programs. 

• Students need to have an overall grade of 3.0 or an equivalent grade. The considered equivalent is in particular a score of 8.0 in the first legal state examination.
