While either law or arts can be a fine start to your career, you can enhance your options and professional expertise by combining them in this double degree course.

A feature of the law component is the large number of specialist units available. Coupled with some 40 arts majors and minors, you can enhance your study of law with subjects such as bioethics, criminology, international relations, holocaust or genocide studies, or indulge your passion for the performing arts, language, music or theatre.

You will acquire a solid foundation in the concepts, procedures and reasoning underpinning the Australian legal system and the research, analytical and communication skills of the legal profession. You will also be challenged to think critically and creatively, to resist easy answers or simplistic solutions and to develop an ethical and intellectual framework within which to understand what it means to be human, and how this changes over time.

Our Anglo-German course at King’s provides a challenging bi-juridical and bilingual education that is respected and valued by a wide range of employers. Our course is equally suitable as a platform for students who want to practice in England and Wales but wish to obtain an in-depth knowledge of German law or those who intend to practice in Germany, or both.

The Graduate LLB is a two-year programme intended for those who already hold a degree-level qualification and wish to obtain an undergraduate qualification in law.

The Graduate LLB is designed primarily to prepare you for entry to the Scottish legal profession. You will build the ideal foundation for further professional study in law. This usually means taking the Diploma in Professional Legal Practice (known as Professional Education and Training stage 1, or PEAT 1).

In accordance with the requirements of the Law Society of Scotland and the Faculty of Advocates, we will ensure you gain the legal skills and knowledge needed for a future as either a solicitor, or as an advocate, in the Scottish legal profession.

This is a qualifying degree for professional practice in Scotland. However, a number of graduates also go on to qualify and practise law in other jurisdictions, in accordance with the relevant local conversion requirements and any further study required in the non-Scottish destination jurisdiction.

Law with French Law (LLB) prepares you for the demands of a global legal market. It includes a year studying at a university in France and is aimed at those with a strong grasp of the French language.

This programme provides high-quality teaching and learning in a supportive and productive environment which encourages self-awareness, reflective practice, and cross-discipline awareness. The course is delivered through a mixture of lectures, tutorials/workshops, and practical classes.

Typically, lectures provide key information on a particular area and this is consolidated through tutorials and/or workshops and practical classes where appropriate, particularly for laboratory skills. The course provides up to 12 contact hours per week, but further consolidation takes place through independent study and/or voluntary workshops provided outside the course’s formal contact hours. Emphasis is placed on developing confidence and classes are generally small, to ensure individual learning needs can be met.

Our BSc Business with Law is designed to give you a solid foundation in business and management while also giving you an essential grasp on law’s place and function in the modern corporate world.

This joint honours degree programme offers a combination of modules from both the School of Business and Management and the School of Law, giving you the opportunity to study the legal aspects of business that interest you most – such as corporate responsibility, intellectual property, contract law and management of human resources.

This four-year course will give you an English LLB degree with a specialism in Chinese law, a distinctive area that makes you highly employable. You don't need to speak or have studied Mandarin before you start: you'll learn this in your first year.

We'll teach you about Chinese law, culture and business. You'll learn how to advise clients, resolve disputes and conduct legal transactions.

You'll spend your third year abroad studying in English at the law faculty of a top law school in China. Returning to Sheffield for your final year, you choose from a wide range of optional modules to complete your studies.

Law and society is a sociology major emphasizing concepts, theories, and research methods as applied to the study of law and law-related structures and processes. Coursework encompasses a variety of areas including deviant behavior, juvenile delinquency, the role of law in society, family law, and the sociology of police. These areas of study are intertwined with other crucial sociological concerns such inequality, power, social organization, social psychology, social change, race, gender, culture, and communication.

The law enforcement program is designed for individuals seeking a professional career as a peace officer. Students are prepared to serve multicultural and diverse populations at the individual, local, state, federal, and global levels. The program is also open to in-service professionals who wish to complete their bachelor’s degree. This program aligns with the MinnState Criminal Justice - Law Enforcement Transfer Pathway.

The pre-law major is open only to students currently enrolled in the program. Enrollment is closed to all new students and all transfer students. The pre-law program at Indiana Tech is designed to prepare undergraduates to prepare for the rigors of the first-year law school. Students will take a varied classes that encourage the same skills stressed in law school, as identified by the American Bar Association: analytic and problem-solving skills, critical reading abilities, writing skills, oral communication and listening abilities, general research skills, task organization and management skills. Students will take classes in humanities, social sciences, and legal topics typically offered in the first year of law school. Pre-Law students successfully completing the curriculum will graduate with a Bachelor of Science degree in Pre-Law with the skills to enter and exposure to courses typically required in the first year of law school.

If you're dedicated to pursuing a career in the legal profession, you'll be on the right track with YSU's very active, successful Pre-Law advisement. Our students have been accepted to the law school programs at Harvard, Duke, Georgetown, the University of Michigan, Case Western Reserve and Ohio State. More than two-thirds of law school applicants from YSU are accepted into at least one law school program.

You'll receive individual advisement at the beginning of your academic career to learn about the various field of legal practice, and in your junior year, you'll receive guidance while arranging for law school entrance exams and interviews.

Students who are committed to pursuing a law degree upon graduating from YSU are eligible to apply for the Judge Sidney Rigelhaupt and Bert Rigelhaupt Scholarship. The scholarships are awarded annually and cover full tuition.

Politics, Policy and International Relations offers courses in American, comparative and international politics taught by skilled faculty with diverse ideas, teaching methods, and philosophies who are dedicated to quality teaching. Our courses critically analyze American and global political phenomena and how these phenomena affect our daily lives. Our classes feature active learning including Model United Nations; moot court and congressional hearing simulations; debates; internships; and service-learning. Through hands-on learning and internship opportunities, the politics, policy and international relations department at Salem State prepares students for a wide variety of careers in the field.

American politics examines the US political system, public policy process and political actors and issues at the local, state and national levels. Through contemporary and historical lenses, American politics courses explore the powers, functions and behavior of the Congress, presidency, the courts and state and local government. 

The Juris Doctor (JD) degree is a highly regarded credential in the field of law. Our three-year program is based on a strong core curriculum that provides students with a solid foundation in legal fundamentals while also opening doors to more specialized areas of study.
